He's thinking these thoughts to himself, and saying what he'd like to say, if she were still there. But he also knows he probably wouldn't be able to say it as well if she actually were there in flesh and blood, rather than simply in his memory.<br /><br />I probably heard this first on one of my mom's Peter, Paul, and Mary albums. I've probably heard it the most on the Move's "Shazam" album - and, yes, they do beat it up a little, but I can't help loving the groovy harmonies.wwolfenoreply@blogger.com
